Those Who Aren’t Making Content Will Be Left Behind

24 October 2024

I often say these words out loud, but I’ve never written them in a post. Honestly, I believe that creating content (any type of content, really) is a core skill for today and tomorrow.

Content runs the world! The internet has transitioned from Web 1.0 (reading) to Web 2.0 (reading and writing). It has begun transitioning to Web 3.0 (reading, writing, and owning).

In most positions in the creative and IT sectors, we regularly produce content: we write letters, design slides, and give presentations to our colleagues. Perfecting those skills is important, of course, but creating and publishing content is even more crucial.

The opportunities to do so are endless in 2024. ChatGPT can help you write any text and express any thought, Midjourney can visualize your idea, and Sora will soon allow us to create videos (honestly, I’m scared of the number of new exciting opportunities it opens).

So, I encourage you to write, start your channel, draw, do podcasts, and make reels — build your personal social capital and develop your content creation skills.

If you needed a sign, this is it!

My name is Kirill, I am 31 years old. In almost 10 years of creating digital products, I have managed to work at big banks, fail a couple of my own startups and make a small exit from another one, as well as participate in the launch of a brand new category of service on the Russian market - Car Subscription. During the day I am a corporatist and manage digital channels in a bank, and the rest of the time I ride a motorcycle, play squash and soccer, snowboard and wakesurf, and read books. I write on a variety of topics on this blog. A little more on the main page.
